Never Give Up on Your Dream

Last month, I was able to see my dream come true.  Eight years after I’d written it, I finally published my book that helps children who are struggling with grief.  It’s called My Mommy Is a Butterfly, and it gives children hope by assuring them that their deceased loved ones are still connected to them through the power of love.

I wrote the story in 2010, but for several years, my attempts to put it out into the world were blocked in every direction.  Rather than submit my manuscript to publishers, I was guided to self-publish.  Sometimes, the guidance we receive takes us down the most difficult path, but I was never one to avoid a challenge.  After doing lots of research about self-publishing, in 2011, I sought out potential illustrators at local art schools, but every candidate wanted to do digital illustrations, and I wanted fine art.

In 2012, I posted the job on a freelance website and found the person I believed was the right artist for my book.  Initially, I was pleased with the results, but as time went on, I felt that some of her work was amazing, but some of it was inconsistent.  She was enthusiastic at first but then decided to take on other jobs and put mine on the backburner.  When I finally received the completed illustrations, I knew that the inconsistencies prohibited me from putting them out there.

I went about looking for another illustrator to fix the inconsistencies.  Again, she was enthusiastic to start but must have grown bored because she let my project sit while she worked on home improvements.  When I received the final illustrations, again, they were inconsistent, and I knew I couldn’t publish them.

In 2013, for a third time, I hired yet another illustrator to fix the inconsistencies.  Again, she was enthusiastic at the beginning but became bored with the project and let it sit.  When I received the final illustrations, the same glaring inconsistencies were there.  I had reached a breaking point of frustration, and I knew I had to do something else.

During the years that the grief book was in limbo, I wrote three manuscripts of angelic poetry.  I decided to put the first book into production with Balboa Press, the self-publishing division of Hay House.  I would still maintain my rights to the words, but they would assign an illustrator who would complete the project in a timely manner and to my specifications.  I was elated.

In January of 2014, Angels, Angels, Everywhere went into production, and in October of 2014, I had the book in my hand!  It was such an amazing feeling to have completed a project and to have it look so lovely and consistent!

Since I had such a positive experience with Balboa Press, I decided to have them publish My Mommy Is a Butterfly.  Production began in 2017, and I was thrilled to find out that the same illustrator who did my angels book was available to do my grief book.  Susan Shorter captures emotions brilliantly, and she was the perfect person for the job.  This book was my baby, and I spent a year and a half going over the sketches and illustrations to make sure everything looked just the way I wanted it to.  Susan had outdone herself!  The illustrations were perfect!  In July of 2018, I had my second book in my hand.

On July 18, 2018, my baby was born, and she was everything I wanted her to be.  I now realize that divine timing was with me every step of the way because the book wouldn’t have been right years ago.  I had made significant changes to the manuscript, the illustrations, and the introduction.  I had also added a much-needed explanation in the back.

I want to encourage you to never give up on what sets your heart on fire … to do what you’re most passionate about … to bring your message or product to the world.  If the idea was put into your head, and you can’t stop thinking about it, you need to put it out there.  If it’s truly meant to be, you’ll find a way to make it happen.  The key is to never give up.

With love, light, and angel blessings,

Picking Up Where I Left Off

I apologize to everyone who enjoys reading my blog posts and has been wondering why I haven’t posted in more than a year.  As they say, sometimes life gets in the way, and, honestly, I guess I just got a little lazy.  I’m not afraid to admit it.  Also, I kind of gave myself a hard act to follow.  Most of my posts were very lengthy and imparted such valuable insights that, frankly, I felt like they were being divinely guided, and I was constantly questioning myself … how will I top that one?  I put undue pressure on myself, and then I’d start saying I’ll do it next month, and then the next month, until I just let it go entirely.

Maintaining a blog is a commitment, and I’m usually very good about keeping commitments, but I let this one slide.  I needed to focus on getting my second children's book done, which I’m happy to say I finally accomplished this month.  On July 18, My Mommy Is a Butterfly was published!  I can’t believe I’ve finally put what I feel is my life’s work into the marketplace.  It turned out even better than I could’ve imagined.  I’ll be doing a separate post about my book’s journey from inception to completion.  It needs its own special title.  LOL

This will undoubtedly be my shortest blog post ever, but that’s okay.  They don’t all have to be monumental masterpieces.  They just need to be words from my heart, however long or short that may be.  It’s important to stay current, and now that my second book is out, there’s no excuse.  Yes, I’ll be taking time to promote it, and it can be difficult to burn the candle at both ends with a full-time job, commuting, and taking care of basic responsibilities, but I’ll make time to do it.  I really need to remember to try to have fun in there somewhere too.  LOL

So, although this entry is short, it says what I needed to say.  Now, I can get back to business … and blogging.

My message for the month is not to be so hard on yourself if you get lazy.  It happens.  Just pick up where you left off with whatever it is you let slide.  Sometimes, you just need a break.  Always follow your heart in everything that you do.  Your heart will show you the way to your most fulfilling life ever!

With love, light, and angel blessings,

Thoughts: We Always Have a Choice

We are always in control of our thoughts.  We can look at things from a positive perspective or from a negative perspective.  Is your glass half empty or half full?  Some of you may think you don’t even have a glass, but you do.  It’s always a matter of perspective.  It’s virtually impossible to keep a positive perspective 100 percent of the time.  As we go through life, we have our ups and downs, and our emotions and outlooks fluctuate with whatever crises or triumphs we are experiencing.

The challenge is to try to keep your thoughts positive as much as you can.  Sometimes, it’s very difficult to do that.  If you’re like me, when your thoughts turn negative, depending on the intensity of the situation, it can turn into a downward spiral that’s hard to recover from.  That’s when you have to pause for a moment, take a few deep breaths, and turn your attention to what’s really important.

The most important thing is to remember is that life is a gift, and you should be grateful that you’ve been given that gift.  Gratitude helps to raise your vibrational energy toward feelings of positivity.  That’s the key to turning your downward spiral into an upward spiral.  You can’t wait for something good to happen to make you feel positive.  You have to feel positive to make good things happen.

You may have heard the saying that your thoughts create your reality.  Our bodies, minds, and souls are made of vibrational energy.  Our individual thoughts, and the collective consciousness that all of our thoughts are connected to, are made of energy.  That energy is always transforming through positivity and negativity.  According to one of the laws of the universe, the law of attraction, when you put negative thoughts, or energy, into the universe, that is what you will attract in return.  As you might expect, when you put positive thoughts, or energy, into the universe, that is what will come back to you.

When you appreciate what you have, regardless of what you lack, you will find that you will receive more for which to be grateful.  When you focus on what you lack, you will continue to experience more lack of what you desire.  Whatever you focus on, either good or bad, is what you will receive.  It’s profound in its simplicity.  Like attracts like.  The sooner you learn this, the better your life will be.  I can attest to this from personal experience.

When you stay in feelings of fear, worry, and the like, your vibrational energy is low, and you distance yourself from the source energy that is God.  When you stay in feelings of gratitude and love, your vibrational energy is high, and you align your soul with source energy.  There’s no greater feeling like it in the world.  It’s a sense of exhilaration unlike anything else … an unexplainable freedom … like flying even though you’re on the ground.  It’s an indescribable feeling because it’s not of this physical world.  We actually exist beyond our third dimension, but this isn’t something we are taught.

We are much more than we are led to believe.  As they say, knowledge is power.  Do some research and discover the truth of who you really are!  Practice keeping your energy in love and gratitude and feel the euphoria that will come to you when you align your feelings with the true essence of your soul.

With love, light, and angel blessings,

Only Love Can Drive Out Hate

I’ve devoted this month’s blog entry to the memory of legendary civil rights leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. since January was the month in which he was born.  There’s no doubt in my mind that he was a major lightworker who was placed on this Earth to help humanity.  While he was able to do a great deal to move society forward, there’s still a lot more to do.

Dr. King’s compelling and inspiring words from the 1960’s still have major significance now.  He spoke about how love was the answer to bringing peace to our world.  Love is still the answer, and the time has come for everyone to realize that.  There's an intensifying hatefulness pervading society, and it's so disheartening.  I yearn to see people be more kind and compassionate toward one another regardless of what’s going on in the world.

I’ve had friends tell me that people they have been friends with for thirty or more years are “unfriending” them over political comments.  People seem to have lost their common sense as to what’s really important.  Our friendships are more important than political opinions.  We don’t have to agree on everything to be friends.  We can agree to disagree and continue to love what we love about each other – the things that brought us together in the first place.

In this very challenging time in which we live, please try to be more understanding of one another’s feelings and viewpoints, resist the urge to spew hatred toward your fellow human beings, be respectful, help each other, make things better, and realize that we’re all on this journey together.

I’m hoping the divisiveness that we’re going through is the darkest part of the tunnel before we come out to the light.  We are all a part of each other.  While we are physically in separate bodies, the feelings within our hearts and and the thoughts within our minds are part of the collective consciousness of God.  Love truly is the answer.

Dr. King said it best:

“Darkness can't drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate can't drive
out hate; only love can do that.”

Dr. King, thank you for all that you did.  Please know that your fellow lightworkers are here to help do your work, help awaken humanity, and help fulfill God’s desire for all of us to live in peace.

Please awaken to the Divine spark of love and light that is at the core of each and every one of you, and recognize this commonality in one another.  We can create a ripple effect of love and light throughout the world that will raise the consciousness of humanity.  While it may be difficult at times, do your best to hold love in your heart and look for the light in everyone.

With love, light, and angel blessings,

An End and a New Beginning

Another year is coming to a close, and a new year is about to begin.  Why does it seem as if 365 days go by in the blink of an eye?  As I’ve gotten older, it seems like the years go by much faster than when I was younger.  I used to think it was just part of aging, but I’ve talked with lots of people in their twenties who feel exactly the same.  It’s like life is moving on a speeding train and we have no other option than to sit back and enjoy the ride.

It can’t be our imagination.  I believe that we perceive time as speeding up because our consciousness is ascending into a higher dimension from the three-dimensional world we’ve come to know.  In actuality, time doesn’t exist beyond our Earthly plane.  Time was created by man.  In the spiritual realm, there is no time or space.  There is no here or there.  There is only pure energetic existence … infinity … a constant state of being.

For me, the most fascinating part about the concept of time is the numerology associated with it.  Numerology is an ancient philosophy that’s similar to astrology, but instead of looking to the stars and planets, we look to numbers for insights into our lives.

Every number has a meaning in accordance with its vibrational energy, and that energy has an influence on our personalities and the world around us.  In addition to our own personal numbers which are associated with our birthdates, there’s also a universal number that affects us.  That universal energy changes every year within a nine-year cycle.  This year has been the completion of a nine-year cycle, and the energy is one of endings.  The number nine is arrived at by adding 2+0+1+6 = 9.

The year 2017 is reduced to the number one and has the energy of a new beginning.  In addition to being the start of a new nine-year cycle, it’s also the beginning of a new phase of your life.  So, the phrase “out with the old and in with the new” has even more significance in 2017.

How many of you experienced meaningful changes this year, such as a job, a home, a relationship, or possibly all of those things?  Was this the year that you finally made peace with the past so you could move forward?  If a relationship or a friendship came to an end, it’s most likely a blessing in disguise.  Those things were meant to happen to prepare you for the new people who will enter your life in 2017.

Did you finally finish a project that you’re passionate about?  Get ready to put it out there in 2017!  Did you complete an educational program that’s going to move your career forward?  Take your new skills and talents to the world in 2017!

For me, 2016 was indicative of not one but two consecutive nine-year cycles.  I had to say goodbye to both my 18-year old cat and my 18-year old car. Needless to say, my cat was the more difficult of the two.  Baby was the last of my three cats, and it was so painful to let her go, but when, after two years of allowing me to provide her with the medical care she needed to maintain her quality of life, she chose to fight me, I knew I had to respect her wishes.  Baby is with me in spirit, and it’s comforting when I see a sign from her.  My car went on to an “afterlife” too.  I donated it to my mechanic who fixed it up and donated it to his nephew.

While I had some losses in 2016, I also had some gains with my career.  I was a guest on local and national radio stations and made three appearances on a popular international podcast.  Also, I was guided to join the Toastmasters speaking organization and shortly thereafter had the courage to speak about angels at a local metaphysical event.  I found that I love teaching just as much as writing.

I plan to intensify the speaking aspect of my career next year.  In addition to teaching about angels, I want to bring comfort to people who are grieving by letting them know about “signs from Heaven.”  For my new beginning in 2017, I’ll be working toward a full-time career as an author and speaker.  I’m hoping that will be my path for this next nine-year cycle.  After that, I hope to do another nine years!

Everything that happened in 2016, both good and bad, has prepared you for your fresh start in 2017.  You’ve evolved from all of your experiences and are ready to take on the world.  Make your new beginning the best one ever, follow your heart, and let your soul soar!

With love, light, and angel blessings,

Archangel Nathaniel: A Lightworker's Best Friend

If you haven’t heard of Archangel Nathaniel, you’re probably not alone.  I’d never heard of him until a few years ago in what I thought was, at the time, a random message.  I was told that Nathaniel could propel your life purpose forward rapidly and that you shouldn’t ask him for help unless you’re absolutely ready to move forward.

It’s been made perfectly clear to me that the person who told me about Nathaniel several years ago played a very significant role in my life.  As you may know, I don’t believe in coincidences.  I believe everything happens for a reason.  I was definitely meant to know who Nathaniel was and how he could and would change my life.

If you follow my blog, you know that I had been told in a psychic reading that I was a lightworker who was working with Archangel Michael to deliver a message.  You may also know that subsequently, I received beautiful words from Archangel Michael for my children’s book, Angels, Angels, Everywhere.  Since that reading, I thought I was working only with Archangel Michael on my life purpose.  I’m embarrassed to admit that until recently I’d completely forgotten that I’d asked Nathaniel for help when I put my book into production in January of 2014.

Now, as I look back over the past two years, it all makes perfect sense … how everything has fallen into place so easily with my book about angels, unlike the previous book I had tried to publish.  I thought it was because I was aligned with my soul’s purpose, but now I realize that there was much more going on.  Nathaniel had replaced my feelings of being stuck with feelings of clarity, motivation, and dedication.  He removed the obstacles that were in my way and was allowing my purpose to unfold with Divine synchronicity.

My memory was rekindled recently when Anayah Joy Holilly of Angel Heart Radio asked me if I’d be interested in co-hosting a show about Nathaniel.  She said that he had shown her that I was the right person to help teach her audience about him.  I was flattered, but I didn’t think I was an expert on him.  Well, guess again!  LOL  I had first-hand experience!

Anayah and I had just begun what would become a very long phone conversation when I had my “lightbulb” moment.  I exclaimed, “This all makes sense now!  That’s why I was able to move forward with my angel book!  That’s why I’ve been led to all the right people to create my website and produce and promote my book!  That’s why it’s been a non-stop ride of endless energy, wonderful opportunities, and major accomplishments!  It’s Archangel Nathaniel!”  Anayah and I both laughed with delight.  Needless to say, I immediately thanked Nathaniel for all of his help.

After my phone conversation with Anayah, I started to do some research.  I learned that Nathaniel works very closely with Michael to help lightworkers with their life purpose. To my surprise, I also learned that Nathaniel is known as the patron saint of lightworkers – those whose life purpose involves serving humanity.  Michael knows everyone’s life purpose and can help you figure out what you’re meant to do.  Once you realize why you’re here and you’re ready to move forward, Nathaniel will help you turn your passion into action so you can make your dreams come true.  Remember, you need to ask for the Archangels’ help because they need to respect your free will and cannot intervene unless invited.

Nathaniel has kept me very busy, but I love every minute of it because I’m passionate about what I’m doing.  Because I love what I’m doing, I’ve raised my vibrational energy, and I feel happier than I’ve ever been!  Anytime I start to feel the least bit overwhelmed, Nathaniel quickly causes those feelings to dissipate by giving me just the right guidance that allows me to complete the task at hand.  Even when I’ve been absolutely exhausted, he’s given me the energy I’ve needed to accomplish my goals.  He’s helped me to trust my choices and feel confident about my abilities.

During the past two years, I’ve done things I never thought I’d do, such as appearing on radio shows and podcasts and most recently speaking about angels at a local metaphysical expo.  Instead of being nervous or fearful, I’ve felt calm, secure and confident.   There’s a sense of empowerment that comes from working with Nathaniel.

Just as he has helped me, Nathaniel can help you to feel the Divine spark that is within you so you can follow your heart’s desire.  He’ll help you let go of distractions that are hindering you and will give you laser-like focus.  He’ll help you stop procrastinating, manifest your intentions, and achieve your goals.  He’ll help you own the power that is deep inside of you.  I’ve had more faith, courage, and determination than I’ve ever had before.  I’ve been more driven to succeed now than at any other time in my life. With Nathaniel by your side, you’ll be able to manifest all that you want out of life at a rapid pace.

If you’re ready to make your life purpose a priority … if you’re ready to fuel your passion in life … if you’re ready to put your purpose into overdrive, it’s time to ask Archangel Nathaniel for his assistance.  Buckle up, hold on, and enjoy the ride!

With love, light, and angel blessings,

Common Messages From Deceased Loved Ones

I know how much comfort a message from a departed loved one can bring because I’ve been the recipient of many wonderful healing messages from the other side with the help of some amazing psychic mediums.  I’m so grateful for the compassionate people – both well-known and less known -- who have shared their psychic abilities with me so I could connect with my beloved family members.

Listed below, are some of the most common messages that are received from the other side:

“I’m okay.”

Your loved one wants you to know that they made it safely to Heaven, which is really just a different dimension beyond our three-dimensional world.  In truth, your loved one never died.  The pure energy of who they are - their soul - merely shed its physical form and returned to its true home in the spiritual realm.

“I’m at peace.”

Your loved one wants you to know that they're in a peaceful place that is filled only with feelings of love and happiness. Any lower vibrating energies, such as anger, resentment, guilt, etc. are gone.

“I’m still here.”

Your loved one wants you to know that it’s not your imagination if you felt their touch, heard their voice, sensed their presence, experienced a life-like dream, or received any other sign that they were with you.  They never really left you.  They can hear your thoughts because we are all connected to one consciousness that survives beyond the death of our physical bodies.  They're just a thought away, and they'll always be a part of your life.

“I’m not alone.”

Your loved one wants you to know that when they arrived in Heaven, they were greeted by family and friends, beloved pets, and sometimes even God.

“I love you.”

Your loved one will never stop loving you.  You'll always be connected through love.  Love is the most powerful force in the universe, and nothing can destroy it.

“I’m sorry.”

Your loved one wants to apologize if they weren’t able to express their love to you, or if they treated you or anyone else abusively, or if they committed suicide.  Those who commit suicide are not condemned to eternal damnation.  They're learning to heal on the other side.

“I forgive you.”

Your loved one doesn’t want you to feel guilty about any harsh words you may have said to them, especially right before they died.  You're forgiven, and they want you to move forward without guilt.

“I’m healthy and coherent again.”

Since your loved one no longer has their physical body, they no longer have any pains or disabilities.  If their mental functions were diminished, they're now restored.  Your loved one is now in what’s called a “light body” made of pure love and light energy.  (If they come through in a dream – which is actually a visitation in the astral plane – they will usually appear vibrant, youthful, and happy.)

“Thank you.”

Your loved one wants you to know that they appreciate everything you did for them while they were here on Earth.

“I didn’t feel anything.”

If your loved one died in a horrible accident that caused severe physical injury, they want you to know that they didn’t feel any pain.  Their soul was removed from their body before impact.

“I heard everything you said to me before I passed.”

If your loved one was in a coma or otherwise unconscious before passing, they want you to know that they heard every word you said to them.  Their higher self in Heaven was able to hear you when their physical body wasn't responsive.

“I wouldn’t have been able to pass if you’d been there.”

If you were unable to get to your loved one’s side to say your last goodbye, things happened that way for a reason.  If you'd been there, they wouldn’t have been able to leave their body.  They want you to move forward without guilt.  They're still with you, and you can still tell them you love them.

“I wasn’t ready for the earthly experience.”

If you had a miscarriage, the unborn child’s soul doesn’t want you to feel guilty.  They weren't ready to enter the earth plane.  The soul may come back in another baby when the time is right.

"Please let go of your guilt and move forward."

If you had an abortion, that soul goes to Heaven to evolve.  They hold no ill will towards you and forgive you.  They want you to forgive yourself too.  Often, that soul will become a spirit guide who helps you through life.

“I’m growing up here.”

If you lost a child, they want you to know that they're growing up on the other side.  Although you miss their presence very much, they're still with you in spirit.  Your child’s soul wants you to celebrate their life when you're ready.  Honor your grief, but try to keep moving forward.

“I’m learning new things here.”

Just as we're here in “Earth school” learning and growing to advance our souls, those who have gone to Heaven are also learning and growing on the other side.  Our souls never stop evolving whether we're on Earth or in Heaven.

"As you're able to move forward, you'll help me to move forward too."

Take as long as you need to go through your grieving process.  When you're ready to move forward with your life, you'll also be helping your loved one's soul move forward in Heaven.

I believe that psychic mediums are here to share their special gifts so they may provide comfort to those who are grieving.  The messages that come through are always from a place of love.

I hope that one or more of these messages has brought you comfort, assisted in easing your mind, and helped to heal your heart.

With love, light, and angel blessings,
